Dove Pink Rosa Beauty Bathing Bar Review

Hello pretties!

This is the first time, I am writing a review and it happened to be on MABH! I am feeling happy and thanks to Lancy! Today, I am going to review a bathing bar from one of my favorite brands – Dove. I have already used the normal white dove bar and also the green one with cucumber and green tea extracts.

From the time when I started using the dove bar, I have never switched to any other soap bar since then. I love the after effects it leaves on my skin. The previous soap bars which I have used never offered me such smoothness. As usual, when I went to the departmental store, I found the new Dove bar in pink, was excited to try this and I picked up one for me!

My Views

First of all, the packaging of the product is simple and same as the normal Dove bar variants. The smell is different from the white ones, (it smells kind of floral!) but once I started to use the soap on my skin I don’t feel any huge difference except that the bar is pale pink in color. It provides the same amount of moisture which the usual Dove bathing bar does. Sadly, it was not up to my expectation.

I was looking through the ingredients list to find any new ingredient added which makes it different from the normal ones. They have removed citric acid, benzyl alcohol and added propylene glycol, which is the only difference in the ingredients list. Propylene glycol is added to help the skin retain its moisture and it also helps the active ingredients to penetrate the skin. So, now you all know why it has been added in this bar.

It forms a rich, creamy lather and cleanses my skin well. The deletion of citric acid and benzyl alcohol doesn’t compromise on the moisture it offers. This product is free from parabens. And I can use this dove bar on my face when I am running short of face wash without worrying that I am using a soap on my delicate facial skin.

Price : Rs.46 for 75 g; Buy : Amazon.in

Rating : 4/5

My final verdict is that I didn’t find any huge difference from the usual Dove beauty bathing bar except for the smell and the color. I would recommend this to people who are bored of using the regular Dove; to the girls who love pink, for people who are looking for non paraben-ic products. And this soap is also for sensitive skinned beauties because, it has glycerin which is good for the dehydrated skin!

I may not repurchase this again, as it has let me down in my quest of getting something new. I have given it a rating of 4 for leaving my skin soft and supple! Please, do leave your comments to let me know what you felt about this new product from Dove!

  1. May be they have changed the packaging to add some color & attract more girls to try it. I am happy that brands are launching paraben free products these days.
