My Views

Packed in a simple opaque plastic bottle with a flip-open cap, the packaging of this moisturizer is satisfactory for me. Its cap is highly sturdy thus, making it spillage-free. The body of the product is sleek so, looks eye-pleasing too. On the whole it is fine for me.

The moisturizer texture is neither overly thick nor extremely runny. It lies in between. I have applied it a couple of times but sadly, it does not hydrate my skin well. It does not feel dry but it does not feel as moisturized as it should. The staying power too is a put-off. It keeps my skin ‘hydrated’ (if I can call it so) for 1-1.5 hours during winters. It does not leave behind a discomfiting greasy or sticky feel.

A glance at its ingredients’ list and I am startled for it comes packed with a number of toxic chemicals such as- silicones (read: dimethicone), PEG, Petrolatum, EDTA and Parabens (methylparaben and propylparaben) which are skin’s villains. I am sure no one wants to smother their skin in the name of nourishment. Had it worked on what it claimed to (that is, moisturize), I would not have written it off but not only has it underwhelmed me but also irked me with its composition.

For this very reason, I won’t invest in it in future. Neither will I recommend anyone to. My two cents – Keep the quest for your Holy Grail moisturizer alive!

Price : Rs 299/- for 200 ml

Rating : 0/5

Final Word : It does not work on the primary parameter of any moisturizer and that is to ‘moisturize skin’. Add to that its considerable list of chemicals added into it, a wise idea would be to chuck it.

    1. You’re welcome, Deevya. I was jist trying to bring focus on which common chemical-laden products we turn a blind eye to in the name of nourishment :)

    1. True, Ranjana. As wise consumers we should look up the ingredients’ list. It’s better to know what we are doing in thr name of nourishment than simply go berserk with products on our skin :) Thanks for reading.

  1. Thanks for the review Nupur. Last winter, I wanted to get this, but , it was out of stock ( luckily in retrospect) and I did not go back for it again. But, after this review, I don;t think I would and you saved me not only from wasting my money, but of course, from smothering my face with those harmful chemicals too.

    1. Thanks for your kind words, Nivedita. I’m at a loss of words when I see people praise such products to the moon and back. I admit they look and feel good but at the end of the day, what matters is whether they good too :)

That’s what my agenda is whenever I invest in a product. It may be the most eye pleasing or aromatic product but if it’s laced with chemicals, I’d rather keep my qurst for a safe/natural alternative alive :)

      Thanks for reading.
