Hair Fall Reduced but My Hair is Still Thin and Rough : Reader Query + Solution

Hello Lancy!

This is Sumalatha. I am very happy about your product – the MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil. I ordered for the 3rd bottle and going to try for my 1.8 years old girl baby also. My query – I am using your oil on alternative days (night application) and hair fall stops. But I have thin hair; Give me some tips to grow my hair thick. Apart from this I am using a serum (from a herbal brand) on alternative days after hair wash and also a hair pack from the very same brand. After hair wash my hair texture gets very rough though. Can I use any conditioner?

Thanks for your time. Waiting for your reply!

Regards,
Sumalatha

My Reply:

Hello Sumalatha,

Thanks for getting in touch. Your feedback means a lot to me!

Coming to your query – Yes, your hair can be volumized with a proper hair care and diet routine. Are you taking any supplements right now? If you’re experiencing a nutrition deficiency/if you’ve lost weight recently/suffered an illness – hair can thin out. It’s a natural process. However, once you fix your health issues, you should be able to see improvements within 2-3 months but the routine should be consistent; if not, results may be not visible.

Don’t skip your breakfast (It should be full of nutrients, proteins and good fats – not light) and sleep for at least 8 hours every night. (day time sleep cannot compensate a good night sleep). Believe me, these are the sure shot ways. Following these two helped me gain my hair after I lost the volume after chickenpox. This should be followed along with a proper hair oiling/washing routine! (Refer here)

For rough hair – try an hot oil treatment at home followed by a DIY hair spa like this. It should definitely help you restore the moisture in your hair thus reducing the dryness. Serums are good as long as they’re natural. So you can continue using them! If you hair is extra dry, you can use a hair conditioner as well. If you’re skeptical about the chemicals, please do wait as I’ll be sharing few homemade hair conditioner recipes on the blog very soon! They might interest you.

Do not tie your hair tightly (in tight ponytails, for an example) – this can lead to breakage, frizz and THIN hair! Ponytails are one of the main causes of hair thinning, if tightly done. I’ve seen many people experiencing this. (Any tight hair style will lead to hair thinning; not only ponytails!)

Check your body heat levels as well if your hair gets extremely dry. If you’ve an excessive body heat, that can reflect in the texture and thickness of your hair. In that case, you should cure the issue by taking a lot of green vegetables and tender coconut to balance the body heat. B complex supplements will help the best (my personal experience!) but you should consult your doctor before including them.

I’m also emailing you my routine. Please go through it; the ideas given might help you! Feel free to write back to me if you’ve more questions. I’d be glad to help!

Good luck!
