Pink Gold Eye Makeup in 5 Minutes : Steps and Tutorial

Hey people!

I did this quick eye makeup yesterday with a combination of pink and yellow (golden) shades! They compliment each other so well and hence, this makes an amazing eye makeup look to pair up with both western/ethnic wear!

Since I was doing this in 5 minutes, I did not use multiple eye shadow brushes, base or anything else that complicates the process! To be honest, I’d call myself a beginner when it comes to proper makeup. However, I love trying out different eye makeup looks with the simple makeup tools I’ve! Ever since I started the blog, I get more interested about skin and hair care more than makeup; but I can see myself loving to play with colors these days.

Do let me know on the comment section if you like the look and the tutorial! I shall do a perfect, flawless pink and gold smokey eye tutorial if you find this good enough for me to continue the series!

This guy (Let’s call him Cream Roo for a while!) constantly needs attention; if not, he starts peeping like nobody’s business!

Products I Used:

Steps

Prep : As the first step, I applied the facial primer. I applied a small amount of the Tips and Toes primer all over my face concentrating more on the eyelid area. It’s not an eye primer but it works equally good to help the makeup stay longer. It mattifies my skin instantly and help the eye shadows to show up vibrant. I did my brows using a soft black shade from the Zoeva 88 Shadow Palette and an angular eye shadow brush. You can do this with an eyebrow pencil as well!

I don’t use a concealer/eye makeup base here since I don’t experience major dark circles under my eyes. As I wanted to keep the look quick and simple, I did it with very few products! I’m not using makeup on my face; except for the Vicco turmeric cream for the matte finish it gives.

step 1

Eyeshadow application : I applied a beautiful yellow golden shade from the MUA Poptastic EyeshadowPalette on the first half area of my eyelids. Though the shade looks gold in person, it somehow looks more yellow on the photos! I applied two coats of the shade as I knew it’d subtle down once blended.

The rest half has been coated with a beautiful fuchsia pink shade from the Zoeva 88 Eyeshadow Palette. You could also use a red based pink; that would look gorgeous as well.

Blend : This part may sound tricky to many but this is actually the easiest part once you get practiced with it. Using an eyeshadow applicator brush or even your clean finger slightly touch the center part of your eyelids (where both the shades meet) and rub as gentle as possible to smooth out the sharp finish. Blend them till you feel the shades have blended together in the middle. The finish should be soft to the eyes!

Do not over-do or you might end up with over-blending that will not look much attractive! Both shades would get mixed together forming a different color, if you over do it. If you find the process hard, use a good eyeshadow blending brush. If you find one of the shades dominating the other after blending, you can add a bit more eye shadow to that particular half of your eyelids to make the look even and neat.

blending eyeshadows

Adjust and Correct : Once blended, they will look soft, subtle and more wearable. Now clean the brow-bone/under eye areas with a soft tissue if you’d messed up the areas during the process. The gold eyeshadow I used here is quite shimmery and hence it had a good amount of fallout. Once I blended the shades, I made sure to dab and get rid of the particles sticking around my eyes. This gives a neat finish to your eye makeup look. Even though you cannot expect a picture perfect finish in 5 minutes, you can try your best to get it right.

Put on your eyeliner : I applied a moderately thin coat of Elle 18 Black Eyeliner on my upper lash line; and the Maybelline Colossal Black Kajal on both my lower lash line and water line. I haven’t used a mascara here. But it will really open up your eyes and give a beautiful finish to the look! Since I was in a hurry, I couldn’t do it.

And this is how the quick pink gold eye makeup looks!

  1. Lovely tutorial… Pink and Gold is a lovely combination. You should also try gold with copper. Looks great with traditional clothes.
