Lancy’s Kitchen : Vol.2

Hey people!

Thanks for your lovely comments on Lancy’s Kitchen : Vol.1. I enjoyed reading each of them!

Though I hadn’t cooked much in a fortnight, I’ve few interesting pictures to share with you all! This new volume refreshes my week as I really enjoy doing it. Looking forward to try more new recipes this month!

Spicy South Indian Macaroni Pasta

I made this for my dinner someday when we had no eggs stocked up in the house! It tasted unbelievably delicious with a strong south Indian flavor. I sauted the red chillies, sliced onions and garam masala before tossing in the cooked macaroni pasta! Two minutes in a low flame and it is ready to be served!

Red Scrambled Egg Curry

I am not a huge fan of the flavor of ‘eggs’ though I love eating them! (I eat them to grow my hair long! Read more about it HERE) My mom usually adds beaten egg to the curry but here, I’ve used scrambled few eggs and combined it with the base masala to make the curry delicious! The recipe doesn’t smell much of ‘eggs’ and at the same time, it has this mild flavor of eggs with a creamy red curry made of blanched and sauteed red tomatoes! I use the reddest tomatoes in my kitchen for this recipe! This goes well with chapati, rice and dosa.

Fish Curry and Fish Fry

I rarely eat seafood! And this is the first time I am cooking NV after my chickenpox journey (Don’t count the eggs!). I made this fish curry in a south Indian style. The small fried fishes turned out to be super spicy and delicious! I could have prepared the curry better; have to take lessons from someone who’s an expert! (Surprisingly, I didn’t hate the smell of fish which happens every time when I was given seafood!)

Fried Potato Curry

I love potatoes in fried form and I don’t really eat them much when they are mashed and added to the curries! I still eat mashed potatoes, but not very often. Hence I tried this recipe where I shallow fried the cubed potatoes and added them to the boiling masala! It tastes great with ghee chapati!

Health Drink for Skin, Hair and Nails

This is the first thing I prepare in my kitchen early in the morning whenever I wake up! I’ve been taking this health drink for a while now and I’m totally loving it! Detailed review on it will go live soon.

Growing Green Onions in Water!

This is a fun task! After using the chopped green onion in my fried rice, I simply don’t throw away the white part (bottom) that holds the root. I put it in a small bowl of water (I used my empty cup noodles container!) and leave it a place where it gets sunlight! Not sure if you’d believe, but it starts growing instantly! (within 24 hours!) After a week, a new batch of green onions will be ready for use!

Hope you liked the pictures! Do let me know on the comment section what all you enjoyed cooking this week! And don’t forget to share with me if you’ve got a good recipe for fish curry!

P.S : This time, I am going to plant the green onions in soil! Can’t wait to see how fast they grow!
