Suganda Sweet Orange Lip Balm : Review, Photos

Hey people!

This sweet orange lip balm from the brand ‘Suganda’ was a part of My Envy Box – December edition! Though I am not a person who IS much into lips balms that come in a tub, I gave this a try for the ‘orange’ factor, if you know what I mean! (I love everything C.I.T.R.U.S!)

I’ve been using it for the last two months – very often, if I don’t say everyday! This product helped my lips a lot during my chickenpox journey when nothing did. My lips dried up to an extent that I couldn’t open my mouth to have food! And that’s when I had this as a savior!

Price : Rs.600 for 10 g

My Views:

The product claims to contain beeswax, cocoa butter, avocado oil, sweet orange oil, almond oil, jojoba oil and marigold extracts! I suppose it is free from ‘petroleum jelly’ which is a good thing!

The lip balm comes in a small transparent plastic container with a screw lid. Obviously, you have to dip your finger every time into the container to take the product out. I neither find tub-packaging easy to use nor find it hygienic however for the thick consistency of the balm, it cannot be squeezed out from a tube! (No complaints!) The product can easily fit into your purse/bag and hence, it is travel friendly!

Note : If you reside in a colder state/country, you will find difficulties in scooping out the balm from the container as it solidifies quickly in cold weather. I live in Chennai, India and it is still VERY solid in the winters!

The lip balm looks maize yellow in color but settles into a transparent finish once applied! The texture of the balm is very thick nevertheless once it touches your lip, it applies smoothly without feeling waxy! Hence, I have no issues of it being thick! It feels highly nourishing on the lips! It works better than most of my lip balm tubes in terms of moisturization. As the balm is rich, creamy and hydrating, I don’t feel the urge to re-apply it for at least 5-6 hours. My lips remain soft for a long time! I’ve been using this at nights and the Maybelline Electric Shock lip balms on the day time! The balm helps to prevent chapped lips overnight. The impressive fact about this balm is its fragrance. It smells of fresh mandarin! I really loved the fragrance every bit as it is neither waxy nor artificial. It has the fragrance of pure mandarins and I indeed love citrus based products!

Over the time, I noticed that it has reduced the pigmentation on my upper lips! My lips now look smooth, soft and moisturized. Lipstick application has never been this easier! I’m totally in love with this balm and I’d definitely look forward to try more of their products!

Likes:

  • Smells of fresh mandarin fruit!
  • Moisturizes without feeling waxy.
  • Prevents dryness for long hours.
  • Helps fading lip pigmentation with regular usage!
  • Works great as a night-time balm in terms of hydration!
  • Makes lipstick application easy making your lips smooth.

Dislikes:

  • Nothing! (Tub packaging can be excused for the consistency!)

Overall, I am more than pleased with the results! The lip balm smells and works excellent! I highly recommend the product everyone who loves citrus-y products. If you are eyeing out for rich, moisturizing lip care products, do give this a try! You won’t be disappointed!

  1. It reduces the pigmentation on your lips, too?? That’s interesting! I’ve never seen a lip balm that does that. :D How long have you used it before you saw the result?
