So coming to the topic today, I always search for natural ingredients in my skin care products. And that’s how I ended up in picking this neem scrub from Himalaya Herbals – a brand that can be easily trusted! Today, I will be reviewing the scrub and will be showing you how I use it on my facial skin.

himalaya herbals neem scrub review

product description

My Views:

The scrub comes in a typical Himalaya Herbals tube with a green flip cap. Though not something unique, the packaging is sturdy and makes the product travel-friendly. It looks similar to the Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack – which I completely love!

Being white in color, the scrub has a semi cream-gel consistency. There are green and beige granules present in it and I won’t call them ‘minute’. The texture is smooth and of course spreads easily on the skin. Being named as a neem scrub, I expected it to be a coarser version of the neem face pack from this same brand. To my disappointment, this scrub is not green in color! However, this isn’t a big issue!

How I Use It? : I first wet my face and then apply a tiny blob of this scrub spreading it evenly on the skin. I massage it VERY gently for a minute as the granules are tad harsh and then I leave on the product to do its work for 2-3 minutes. This slight tingling sensation occurs every time I use the scrub though it settles down in a minute. After leaving it on, I wash my face with plain water and dab it gently with a towel.

Results : To say in a word, the scrub left my skin ‘smooth’. Himalaya Herbals products always work well on my skin fortunately! I felt the smoothness right after using it! Though being cream based, it did not leave any oily/greasy residue on my skin. My skin felt perfectly cleansed and refreshed after the usage. If you have a normal-oily skin type, you are going to like this product!

Dry skin types may need a heavy moisturizer after the usage. With next 3-4 usages, my skin looked more smooth, clean and soft. (I use a light moisturizer post-usage) I am now thinking to use it as my body scrub as more than twice a week on facial skin usage will not do good to the skin (due to the thick granules – refer the picture below) If it fares good on my body skin, I won’t be using it on my face anymore as I cannot risk with the paraben factor as well! If your skin is practiced to paraben and tad heavy scrubbing, you will have no issues with this product!

  • It is not a product meant for very sensitive skin types as the scrubbing grains are slightly harsh.

Overall Verdict:

This scrub works great on normal-oily skin types. It instantly gives smoother skin and works in clearing out your skin with regular usage. Overall, this is a very good scrub for the price that has only few cons!
