Revlon Touch & Glow Moisturising Powder Review

Hi friends,

I am yet again back with a product review (actually I bought so many things last week and I keep asking Lancy for giving me permission to review all of those). I was searching for a compact that I can wear directly on the skin for casual daytime makeup and also on foundations for gorgeous party makeup. The SA at the store handed this out to me. Though it is a little expensive, I wanted to give it a try.

Price : Rs 440 for 12 g

My Views:

The shade I chose is Ivory Beige. It has a pink undertone but does not look bad on my dark skin. There are other shades like Rose Beige, Gold Beige and Natural Beige, though the last one is rarely available. Also the names of the shades are not mentioned on the box and you have to rely on whatever the SA says. The ingredients mentioned are talc, fragrance and titanium dioxide. I do not know if they have used paraben. Lack of the complete list of ingredients for a costly product like that is disappointing. No SPF is mentioned either. The box is black with a golden R on the top. It looks classy, but packaging could be a bit sturdy. Also I do not like the golden border around the box as it looks a bit cheap.

The compact comes with a nice round mirror inside and soft powder puff. The puff should be washed after a few uses as the oil get transferred in it and it becomes dirty. The box is small and suitable to carry in the purse.

The smell of the product is mild and pleasant. The texture is smooth, creamy like. It glides smoothly on the skin, spreading evenly. The blending is very perfect and it gives a very natural finish. It does not change the color of the foundation or skin. It just gives the face a bright glowing and silky finish. The swatch shows how naturally it has blended giving a even and smooth skin.

It gives medium coverage. It covers a few acne spots I have on my skin. If you want more coverage, you can put on multiple layers without any worry of cakey finish. It also covers dark circles around the eyes perfectly. It stays color true, even on oily skins. Occasional touch ups are needed after 3-4 hours. But it is easily transferred on phones (if you are talking) or dupattas (if you cover the face).  It is also suitable for dry skins. It does not make the skin dry or settle in fine lines.

before and after

Likes:

  • Suitable for every skin type
  • Perfect blending and natural finish
  • Good Coverage
  • Good mirror and puff

Dislikes:

  • The price
  • Lack of shade variety
  • Transferable
  • No SPF

Conclusion:

This product fulfilled my need and expectations. You people should definitely give it a try. I will complete this one and then I may buy it again or search for similar products in this range. This is a perfect compact for daily users and buying it will be no loss.
