Weekend at Cousins’ Place!
Last week I had to go to my cousin’s place to spend my weekend! I was frequently getting calls from them when and all I felt was ‘lazy’ after a busy weekend. I didn’t want to get up from my bed and get ready at all. The worst part is getting your hair ready in few minutes!!! I either take too long to style my hair or if I do it in hurry, my hair breaks (Which is the most scariest heart-breaking thing for me!) So I wanted to get things done simple! I had no much time to get ready and hence I opted for a simple look and tried something different.
I combed my hair gently. Though not fully de tangled, it managed to look neat with the shine. I styled my bangs (They grew out way too longer; I am in two minds whether to trim or grow them) and wore a loose ponytail. After a nice relaxing evening shower, I got ready wearing casual tops and skirt. I was all ready to step out! My makeup was minimal – I applied kajal and eyeliner on my eyes, a soft pink lipstick from L’Oreal Paris matte mania range and I did put on my favorite blue contact lenses.
Compliments? on a Bad hair day?
The whole time I was driving, I thought I’d be getting bad comments on how my hair looks. Once I reached there, the first thing she (my cousin) noticed was my hair! She asked me how come I manage my hair like this even when it is so long. In no time, I asked her ‘Are you trying to pull my legs in any way?’ and she said NO!. (Hard to believe when you know you are having a bad hair day.. uff) Even her brother (my another cousin) commented on how shiny my hair looked. This time, I believed as he is not the one who usually comments! That moment, I felt SO good that I colored my hair with the CCG in Ebony Black. It evens manages the bad hair days and helps my hair look pampered and maintained regardless how I treat it! It was one week from when I had a hair wash (and a spa too!) and still, my hair looked nice to their eyes!
After a small chat, we went for a shopping trip. The SA in the shop noticed my hair and asked me what do I put on it? She inquired me about the shampoos and serums I use whereas I use none. I use my homemade hair wash powder and I always stay away from serums due to the silicone content. She didn’t seem to believe. She kept on telling me I am not revealing my secrets and that’s when I felt khoobsurat. (When others envy something you posses!!) I can’t help it) After all, it was a messy-bad hair day. I didn’t style my hair, comb it properly and still, my mane got me so many nice compliments!! Everybody feels my hair turned more shinier now with an intense natural black shade. Not every hair color gives you the ‘natural’ black shade!
Overall, I spent my last weekend good with so many khoobsurat moments at my cousin’s place and the shopping mall. We made biryani and had it with lots of fun and gossips!! I am definitely trying out some new hair styles next time so as to make my hair look more appealing. Do you have any suggestions? I am thinking to try some hairstyles from Get the Look. If you find any interesting look for very long hair, do kindly share it with me! I’d be glad to try it and do a tutorial here.
P.S: Sorry for delaying my hair spa post. It is coming up super soon!
