Things You Will Need:

(For medium length hair)

  • One egg.
  • One banana.
  • Handful of fresh curry leaves.
  • One aloe vera leaf.

How To Prepare Protein Hair Pack:

Firstly, gather all the ingredients. Wash the curry leaves well and also scrape out the aloe vera gel from its leaf. Peel the banana and cut into small pieces. Crack and pour the egg and put all the ingredients into a mixer. Mix it until a smoothie texture which would take not more than 2 minutes. Now, pour out the mixture into a bowl.

The Use:

Now, prepare yourself for the pack. This would not stain or your clothes, yet I would recommend you to get into a comfortable cloth. Since the mixture will be very foamy and fluffy, always take a small quantity in hand to apply it. With your left hand fingers, part your hair and apply the mixture right on to your scalp and make sure to reach each and every part of your scalp. Once the whole scalp is covered, start applying this onto your hair from root to tip. If you have really long hair like Lancy, you might need to take two eggs instead of one.

After applying, let it sit for 30-45 minutes. You can keep it maximum one hour, but within 45 minutes, our components might have done its job. Wash you hair properly for a long time before applying shampoo. Once the hair feels cleaner, apply a mild or herbal shampoo and wash your scalp and hair well.

Facts:

  • It will leave bad smell as it contained egg, so I would recommend you to try it 2-3 days before having any occasions or program to attain.
  • Egg and aloe vera gel helps in regrowth of hair.
  • Curry leaves are good for faster hair growth and also to cure dandruff.
  • Banana contributes in shiny, thick and healthy hair.

Using this pack twice or at least once a month would help your hair to grow faster and look luscious. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to this pack, to get rid of the bad smell and enjoy a aromatic pack.

Use a mild, herbal shampoo to enjoy a SPA like treatment for your hair after applying this hair pack.

I hope this article helps you and if you also use protein hair packs, do share your recipes. :)

  3. Hello Arshita

This ia a great article that you have written. I have dry hair and wish to know is there an alternative to eggs. We don’t use eggs at home. Should this mask be applied on oiled hair or dry hair. Do reply please.

    1. Hey Kirti,
      Thanks you for stopping by.
If you are not comfortable using egg, you may use hair oil instead of that, that will also work. You may use olive oil or coconut oil, as they will help in retaining the moisture and nourish the strands. Please do try and let us know your views on that.

      1. Hello Arshita,

Many many thanks for such a prompt reply. Another thanks for the lovely solution too. Will definitely follow this for my hair. Since we need to shampoo and condition our hair or maybe just shampoo our hair after washing off this pack can you suggest a few good shampoos and conditioners to be used for dry frizzy hair type?? This will solve my problem to a large extent.

        Awaiting your response.
        Have a good day ahead.
        Kirti
