The Various Facets of Divya’s Hair – From Curly to Straight to Wavy

Hello beautiful!

As I start writing this post the last years of my life flash across my eyes. The last 2 years when I have faced tremendous struggle growing out my hair long and the struggle I am still going which I was in love and I am still no matter how they are. I would love it if you all travel with me through my journey. Read on friends.

My hair type and texture:

My hair is a little longer than my shoulders. As a child I had very curly and bouncy locks. They were shiny and healthy. When I reached my adolescence they started growing straight. This was the phase I was in love with. Slowly years rolled by and now they are neither curly nor straight. They are halfway straight and then start getting wavy with lots of split ends. The color of my hair is brownish black. I admit I have tortured my hair with styling in the past years but I have never colored them. I have experimented with various hairstyles from steps to layers to fringes but now I just want them to be long and healthy.

My current hair care routine:

I am a very lazy person when it comes to following routines be it skincare or hair care. Sometimes I feel like I really need to buck up and start being organized. A week passes and then again I come to my original avatar of neglecting myself. So I don’t have a proper hair care routine. I oil my hair thrice week. And shampoo it the next day. After shampooing I condition it. When it is semi wet I apply serum.Sometimes when I get time to pamper myself I apply a mask made with egg and honey. As I have very rough hair this mask helps to moisturize my tresses.

Hair care products I am in love with currently:

As I mentioned earlier I have experimented a lot with hairstyles and hair care products. I still love experimenting but there are some things in life which are an inevitable part of it. Same goes with your HG beauty products. So for my hair also there are some HG products. I oil my hair twice weekly with my favorite Sesa hair oil and once a week with Patanjali juice tel. Sesa hair oil has improved the texture of my hair a lot and it has also become thick. Patanjali juice tel smells horrible but owing to its attractive ingredient list I cannot stop using it. I love Sunsilk shampoos since I was a kid. Meanwhile I also tried Tresemme but it made my hair very rough so I again bounced back to Sunsilk. I love all the variants of Sunsilk shampoo. I like using  Clinic Plus conditioner. It makes my hair super soft and manageable. Moreover it is very affordable. The serum I use is Keya Seth’s aromatherapy spa serum. It has been years that I am using this serum but recently I bought Sesa hair serum. After loving its hair oil I thought its hair serum will also work wonders but I am very disappointed with it. It makes my hair very greasy even if I use just 2 drops.

Other hair care tips that I follow:

As I said I am a very lazy person so this is the section I cannot relate to. I just apply homemade hair masks with egg and honey once in a week. I never brush my hair when it is wet. I stay away from heat and let it air dry. Whenever I oil my hair I make sure that I tie it in a nice tight braid and leave it overnight. Sometimes I apply conditioner and wrap my hair with a plastic bag and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. In this way my normal conditioner works like a deep conditioning treatment. I warm my oil before applying it and mix a little clove oil in it once in a week. Clove oil acts as a stimulant and promotes hair growth.

Why do I wish to try MABH fast growth hair oil?:

As I said I have stunted hair growth. It is not at all growing in length. I have seen Lancy’s and Auntyji’s (Lancy’s mom) hair and being very honest I envy it. I have heard of good reviews about MABH hair oil and I hope if I use this oil diligently then maybe in a year’s time I will have long hair not as long as Lancy but still long :)

So this was the story of my hair. I put my heart to write it out and share my experiences with all my dear friends over here in MABH. I hope you all will like it and will also share your stories with us!

  1. Nice write up Divya. Even I had the same problem with Tresemme shampoo. Will keep in mind the clove oil tip and include it in my weekly oil treatment. :-)

  2. Hey Divya,

Thank you so much! :) Enjoyed reading your hair story. Clinic Plus used to be my mom’s favorite shampoo brand. Never tried their conditioner though.

And congrats for winning MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil. Inboxed you! Do check :)
