From 150 to 2 Strands of Hair a Day – Arshita’s Hair Fall Rescue Story

I was never too caring about my hair until I faced severe hair fall and slow rate of growth which was 2 years ago. Stress and depression caused hair fall and when all the damage was done, I started researching on how to stop it, that is when I came to know about how to take care of hair.

Before these 2 years, I did not use any other oils than regular store bought coconut hair oil; neither used any hair pack other than henna that too once or twice in 6-7 months. So, basically I was totally unknown of the fact that in terms of taking care of hair, one needs do more than just oiling and washing.

After research, I found out about castor oil and its benefits on hair, also how to use it to promote hair growth. I also found out about other herbs like curry leaves, hibiscus leaves, and hibiscus flowers for luscious and healthy hair. It was about one year or so when I found MABH and saw the article on how to grow hair faster and then came Lancy’s post about her one year hair growth.
After reading the articles, I started taking Biotin pill every day after lunch. I used Khadi Rosemary hair oil everyday and twice a week I applied a mixture of castor oil, olive oil and almond oil. I am using a local herbal rosemary shampoo ever since and never touched any chemical infused shampoos available at the market! Mustard oil is great for faster hair growth and I used cold pressed mustard oil infused with hibiscus flower 3-4 times a week. And, then I got my hands on MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil for a month now and it has really contributed in my fast hair growth. In the last 5 months my hair has grown 6 inches and in this one month, it has grown 1.5 inches of the whole growth. So, I am really thankful to MABH for giving us this awesome oil!

My Recent Hair Care Routine:

Right now, I use MABH hair oil almost every day, and if not, at least on alternate days. And once in a week I apply castor oil, olive oil and almond oil mixture. And once a month, I apply Shahnaz Husain henna.

Though for the past 1 year, I have not used any blow drier or hair stylers, but now that my hair has got back its normal growth, I use flat iron only on occasions. But before using flat iron I use hair repair serum for less damage. The reason, I am using flat iron again is the goodness of the oils I am using, especially MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil, as it always maintain the soft and smooth texture of my hair and never let it be rough or dry.

And at least 2-3 times a month I use eggs and banana hair pack for strong and healthy hair. I also use curry and hibiscus leaves paste for new hair growth.

For scalp, I use Arnica Plus Triple Action Hair Vitalizer which probably cannot be found everywhere as it is based in Kolkata (available in Delhi also). It is an herbal hair vitalizer which amazingly controls and cures my dandruff problem even in winter days and also keeps my hair fall in control. This hair vitalizer is also available with tablets and I take them at night for better results.
I have also changed my food habit, now I eat oats in the morning and take green tea before going to sleep. Oats keep us healthy from inside which is very necessary to maintain good health and hair. And green tea works as anti-oxidant for my health.

So, from almost 100-150 hairs falling everyday to only 2 hairs falling each day had a long gap in between when I tried many things and many tricks. But, the most working method to stop hair fall and promote growth is, proper and frequent oiling your hair and using an herbal shampoo that suits your hair type. And also, eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle definitely contributes to your healthy hair and body.!

  5. Hello Ms.Arshita.

Your hair looks so healthy and glossy ( knock on wood! ) !! :) I just read your post on hibiscus & curry leaves hair pack. I’d love to try it. I’m just wondering if I could massage my scalp & hair with oil first and then apply this hair pack. And also, could I substitute hibiscus leaves with petals? Thank you.
