How to Remove Dark Circles Under Eyes Naturally

Reply to the Query: All I can suggest you is to get some good night sleep first :) Go to bed as early as you can. I know how it feels to get sudden dark circles. I have experienced this before. Finish all your works before 10 and got to sleep. This way, you can easily recover from your dark circles problem quickly. Few more natural ways you can follow to remove dark circles are:

  • Spray fresh rose water over your eyelids and let it dry. It has excellent calming properties.
  • Avoid coffee for a month. Caffeine is said to cause dark circles.
  • If you get pure castor oil, use it on your lashes. :) Our writer Dharu wears by this tip!
  • Prevent yourself from getting common cold and block nose. Researches say that common cold may cause temporary dark circles.
  • Drink lots of water everyday and massage your eyelids with one finger softly.
  • If you are a contact lens user, switch to specs for a week time and give your precious eyes some rest.
  • Keen an eye on your eye makeup cosmetics. Allergic eyeshadows may cause bad circles!

You can also invest on a good eye makeup concealer to cover up your dark circles for time being. That’s all I know. Now readers will help you in the comment section! Take care! :) Hope you cure your under eye dark circles soon!

  1. I have not experienced dark circles ever.. still with the knowledge from my room mate’s experience i can give u sum tips. Increased iron intake reduces dark circles.. have the habbit of dissolving jaggery(brown sugar) in water n consuming it every day morning.. u can include a dash of lemon to this jaggery water as vit c in lemon enables absorption of iron from gut.. apply a thick paste of almonds with milk in d under eye are after good exfoliation.

      1. The dark circles are the dead cellular layer formed as result of external irritations like light. Sleep in a dark room without night lamps. Keep on exfoliating the under eye area but b sure not to b harsh as d skin is very delicate. U can opt for good collagen masks from parlours.. it can give u immediate results.. All the best :-)

  3. use almond oil..massage it with ur fingers gently before going to bed… also dont rub ur eyes… rubbing eyes too much may result into dark circles…

  4. Proper 8 hour sleep and stress-free mind cures most of the dark circle prob. Sometimes eating healthy food like oatmeal also cures it.. I had it like a year ago.

  5. nice tips lan and i do swear by what i said about castor oil. also under eye should never be exfoliated. sorry poornima :) i dont know where you got the info but its a strict no no. not only for beauty reason but also for eye safety. actually dark circles are not dead layers :)
eye skin is so thin that just because you sleep your lashes cut into your under eye skin and forms lines. you can see tiny or sometimes prominent if you have long lashes near your lower lash line. dark circles are basically skin darkened because of UV rays, excessive pressure on eye muscles and retina especially who work with computers or any electronic devices and sometimes incomplete diet. never ever ever use an exfoliater on the area. only lemon juice is DABBED not applied with a cotton ball that is only if you are treating dark circles not exfoliating purposes. other wise any rubbing action is strictly prohibited. under eye skin if exfoliated becomes weak and leads to eye sight, cataract and few eye diseases which i am gonna scare you with. :)

    1. Thanks for the useful tip dharu!.. :) But under eye exfoliants are available in the market na?? :-O Brands like Eminence sell it. I think may be we shouldn’t exfoliate the area much; but a milder exfoliation will do without scrubbing granules.. Once r a month or something like tat. Like a soft almond cream scrub or something? Bcz, as we fail to use packs or scrubs on the under eye are, they might be dark na? Compared to the rest of the face?

      1. no actually i have seen that as my face got lighter, my under eye skin too adjusted it self :) we use creams all over our face right ? that is good enough for making the skin lighter :) but as a genetic thing, under eyes are always a tone less than our face even from our times as babies :) even just rubbing the skin just with fingers without an exfoliater will also remove the dead cells there and loosen the skin and muscles it is that sensitive :(

ya i know there are exfoliaters but i prefer my lemon juice better . just dab and rinse after 10 min. i use the lemon thing once in 1 month or like 40 days :)

  6. Dear- If this dark circle thing suddenly happens then it is bcoz of your overnight wakeup thing… This things happens when change in lifestyle. U shld first get edequate sleep, drink lots of water which is another important thing.. overnight awake need more water intake. so Do that. I have my own exp to share :))

Next you can do is apply pure almond oil and apply all over your eye area and sleep. Use a good eye cream (clinique has good result) and at last Do NOT stress your eyes at all.. See if this helps. :)) all d best.
