Simple and Easy Intense Black Smokey Eye Makeup

I love Smokey eyes. That is a fact which you guys already know right. Here is my all time favorite intense smokey eye look in black. This is like let’s say the mother of smokey eyes. My mom used to tell how in childhood she used to just apply kajal on eye lids, smudge it and powder it for simple smokey eyes. This is a look best suited on fair, medium fair, to medium dark tones. Of course any one can try this look. This look is completely black with few other tones mixed. I tried to create 2 different looks here as well.

Products used:

  • Lakme perfecting foundation
  • Lakme radiance compact
  • My home made kajal
  • A brown eye liquid liner used as a mascara
  • A eye pencil in black
  • Eye shadows from my favorite BR eye shadow palette.

Steps:

1. Prime and prep your eyes. Fill in your brows with a grey pencil or eye brow powder. You can use brown too. Choose depending on your eye colour. I used grey here.

2. Using a pencil fill your 3/4th of the lid with black eye shadow or pencil. Blend well. Extend towards the outer v. If you wish you can make a wing like mine here or leave it.

3. Fill the next 1/4th with eye shadow No 1 in the picture. It is so soft grey. This will help in perfect blend and hooded eyes will look great with this trick than complete black.

4. Fill the tear duct are with eye shadow 2. It is a nude brown and will help blend the look into your skin so that it won’t look sharp.

5. Now using shadow No 3 blend your black eye shadow in the crease. Using the same eye pencil line your lower lash line. Blend with eye shadow 3.

I applied brown mascara here to pop my eyes out. Otherwise you can use your favourite mascara. Use any other coloured mascara to give slight tint and edge to this look. Blue works great actually. Fill in your water line with kajal.

Tada.. simple and easy!

Extras: You can use any colour other than the brown I used in the crease to give the corresponding tint. Like if you are wearing a blue dress and want this look, try blending with sapphire or navy blue in the crease, lower lash line and use a light blue in the tear duct area. The second look is lavender based one. You can use purple as well. I personally prefer green actually! :)
