My Coral Festival Eye Makeup Look – Photo Tutorial

by Dharu

Thank you Arshita and Lancy for asking a festive coral makeup look.  This is one of the best suited looks on my skin tone after that dark hot pink smokey eye one. It makes me look innocent and like a princess if I wear with a cream dress. I made it festive and completely coral. You can also add golden, copper tones if you wish. Like the previous one, I have two looks here with same procedure and of course.. Here are the steps. Enjoy ladies!

Products Used:

  • Lakme Perfecting foundation
  • Revlon Compact
  • BR Eye shadow Palette in 2 collections. If you get your hands on these.. Don’t ever miss out on them. (Superb pigmentation and colours. Some are just superb mattes at the same time extremely blended.)
  • Dazzler Mascara
  • Elle 18 Black Eyeliner
  • ADS 2 in 1 Eye Pencil in Green and Black. (These are dead cheap and really good)
  • Vov Eye Crayon in Gold

Coral Festival Eye Makeup Look ~ Steps:

Step 1: Apply primer and prepare your eyes. Fill in your eyebrows with a dark brown pencil or eye shadow (matte). It compliments this look.

Step 2: Apply shade No 1 in the inner corner of the eye lid. I used a bit orange tones here as coral is basically pink toned orange. Use a shimmery eye shadow for festive and matte for daily wear look. But here the eye shadow looks both daily wearable and festive. The palette is just amazing.

Step 3: Add shade No 2 in the next 1/3 part of the lid. Blend them together. Wipe out any fall outs using a clean fluffy brush. Now this look is entirely orange. Keep adding till you get the desired amount of colour. Coral is quite difficult to show up and darker skin tones need a lot of work here.

Step 4: Using an angular brush, apply shade No 3 in the outer corner. You can make it winged or soft blend like I did here. Blend all together. Make sure not to apply to much as that maroon can dominate the orange. Here you get the complete coral look. Stop here if you want to keep it light and coral. I used shade 4 to blend. It is orangish gold so it helped me keep the look coral.

Step 5: Add shade five in the crease. It metallic grey. Add more if you want the look to be edgy. I didn’t use much. Only to give depth in the crease. I liked this better than brown or black. Here ends the first look.

Step 6: Take a black pencil; fill the outer half of the lower lash line. Fill the other with a soft golden eye pencil. Also use the same to apply in the tear duct area. It gives the desired festive touch. You can use copper to keep it more coral in look

Step 7: For the second look, simply add a dark brown or black brown eye shadow in the outer V. Blend well. Tada.. you are done!

Step 8: Make a winged line on the upper lash line using your favorite eye liner. Add mascara. I kept my water line bare. But if you wish you can add kajal. I like it this way. It makes me look innocent and beautiful. Try these palettes girls. I have one word for them – beautiful. They are the best of the lot I own till date and no fall out.

Hope you find this helpful Arshita! :)
