MUA Lipstick Shade 6 Review and Swatches

Hi,

Today I am up with another lipstick from MUA in shade 6.  Basically I love this range of lipsticks from MUA as they are just right in quantity and quality compare to the price.

Price:

£1 approx. Rs.91 without shipping charge.

My Take:

This range of lipsticks come in a nice sturdy black case with the bottom showing the shade of the lipstick in the bullet thus help to find out your desired shade from your stash when you are in hurry. The bottom of the lipstick is actually detachable and it is a pot having the same shade of the lipstick that in the bullet. You can consider this pot as a little bonus of the quantity of the lipstick. The lipstick comes in 16 different shades so I guess there is at least one shade for everyone which is really nice.

Now coming to this particular lipstick.. As I told you that today I am reviewing shade 6 which is a nice shimmery pink that look almost neutral in my lips. The lipstick smells like near about cookie. I don’t know why I smell it like a cookie every time I apply it on my lips :P The staying power is only 1-2 hours without having meals which I think is enough for a 1 pound lipstick obviously.

The lipstick is definitely not transfer resistant, in fact it hardly survive meals. It tends to bleed in summer of India. And sometimes I found the lipstick itself melt in the bullet to some extent in summer so I have to keep it in fridge. The lipstick is creamy in texture thus non-drying and moisturizes your lips. Need 2-3 swipes to get an opaque coverage but this particular may not suit in pigmented lips as it tends to bleed always so after sometime it start fading out leaving no tints behind.

Why I like this?:

  • Affordable price.
  • Nice, sleek packaging with see through bottom that help you to find the lipstick shade easily.
  • Creamy in texture so non-drying.
  • Glides easily on lips.
  • Smells like cookie :D

Why I don’t like?:

  • Not available in India.
  • Buying from direct website is risk as it don’t deliver to some city of India I think as In Kolkata MUA never reached :(
  • This shade will not be that suitable for Indian skin tones
  • Tends to bleed in summer.
  • Not transfer resistant.
  • Staying power is low
  • This particular may fail to cover pigmented lips.

Rating: 3/5

My Final thoughts:

Despite of all cons I will say that this lipstick is so affordable and comes in so many lovely shades that you can have at least one in your stash!
