We girls love our siren reds, glamorous purples, trendy tangerines and subtle browns but for most of us, a particular shade of pink will almost always be somewhere in our favorites, won’t it? 🙂
So I thought of doing an article on what I feel are the best budget lip balms and lip glosses out there, all in various shades of pink! If you’re ever in the mood for a pink lip colour, hopefully this article will help you find the right one 🙂 so let’s get started!
Avon Naturals Lip Balm – Strawberry:
Price: Rs 99 (but you can get it on discount very often!)
This is my HG lip balm and I’ve used it for years. It’s very moisturizing and it leaves a reddish pink tint on the lips which can be deepened slightly by layering the balm. I’ll be doing a detailed review of this lip balm soon 🙂
Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm – Pink Guava:
Pink Guava is a lovely but tricky shade to carry off. If you have lighter lips then this could be the love of your life! This lip balm has a bit of shimmer and it’s very moisturizing too! If you’re looking for a natural cool-toned pink, pick up this one – I love the shade more than words can describe!
Price: Rs 129
Maybelline Color Bloom Color Changing Lip Balm – Pink Blossom:
Price: Rs 99
This is my favourite lip balm at present. I love this because it gives such a deep fuchsia tint to the lips – you’d never realize how pigmented my lips actually are. And it changes colour from transparent to pink! What’s more, it has SPF 16! If you’re looking for hot pink in a lip balm, this is the one to get!
Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm – Berry Crush:
Baby Lips lip balms need no introduction! I have always thought of Berry Crush as a pinkish berry shade so I’m putting this here. Of course, you could also pick Pink Lolita or Rose Addict from this range.
Price: Rs 150
Lipice Sheer Strawberry Conditioner:
This is also a color changing lip balm like the Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm and this too gives a lovely pink tint to the lips. But this is double the price of the Maybelline lip balm for almost the same quantity.
Price: Rs 190
Grazie is a lovely shade and has a gorgeous pink tint. Merci and Thank You from this range are also gorgeous pinks. These lip balms are a bit pricey but I can vouch for the formula and hydration. Grazie has been swatched on MABH 🙂 You can buy these online. P
Price: Rs 300 (I have included a pic or two of Obrigado so that you can see what the packaging of the balm looks like. Check swatch below. For full review, please check the link)
Moving on to the lip glosses now 🙂
I’ve made it no secret that I love these lip glosses and Berry Blush is one of my favourite pinks. It has plum undertones so it’s a sort of like a blue-based deep berry pink gloss. If you’re looking for a pink gloss without much shimmer, this is the one!
Price: Rs 245
I loved Berry Blush so much that I ended up buying Berry Smoothie too. This is a warmer coral pink gloss with more shimmer than Berry Blush. It’s super pretty and will look very natural for most skin tones.
Price: Rs. 245
Faces Glam On Lip Gloss – Shade 044:
This is a slightly dusty cool pink coloured gloss with zero shimmer. Although it’s slightly expensive, it’s worth it because it’s a great everyday wear pink for fair as well as duskier beauties. It has been reviewed on MABH by Lancy 🙂
Price: Rs 449
I’m sure everyone has heard of these! My favourite pinks from this range are One Shine Day and Hooked on Pink. (Sorry I don’t have these swatches for you!)
Price: Rs 350
Honorable Mentions (they just missed the cut!):
Hotty Pink from the Lipice Micro shine lip color range is a deep fuchsia lip color that has micro shimmers. These lip colors are super pigmented.
Price: Rs 200.
Why it didn’t make it to the final list: It is much closer to a lipstick!
The Revlon balm stains come in an adorable chubby crayon-like packaging and give a wash of colour that’s quite buildable. My favorites are Darling, a cool-toned purplish-pink and Lovesick Passionnee – a bright fuchsia stain which has been reviewed on MABH (Editors: Claps for beautiful clicks by Arpita!) 🙂
Why it didn’t make it to the final list: It’s definitely not a ‘budget’ buy at Rs 600!!
I hope you all liked this post. (It was slightly lengthy; I hope you didn’t fall asleep!) I’m not a ‘pink girl’ by any means, but I do believe that if you want to brighten up your complexion, pink is the way to go, whether it’s in clothes or makeup. Please feel free to add anything that I may have missed. This list is by no means complete and I’d love to have your inputs too 🙂
