Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Fairness Cream With SPF 30 PA++ Review

Hello ladies!

Today I will be reviewing yet another blemish balm that has hit the Indian markets. i.e Ponds White Beauty All-in-One BB+ Fairness Cream with SPF 30 PA++. I think beauty companies have finally realized the importance of Indian consumers in the beauty sector and are of lately coming up with products that are already a hit in international markets.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 125/- for 18 gm

Ingredients:

My Experience:

The Ponds BB cream has a medium consistency and comes in sleek tube packaging. The tube is of plastic, white in colour white a screw open shiny silver cap.

Blemish balms are a fad these days. It provides for a quick no-nonsense daily/office wear makeup base. Also you can wear it alone with just a kohl and lip gloss to go with it. When Maybelline launched its BB in the market, I somehow could not try it.. lack of enthusiasm. And I realized my loss, when I heard so many rave reviews about it. So when I finally went to buy it, I saw this newcomer in the market and was tempted to buy it.

Ponds BB is just like any other tinted BB with sunscreen SPF 30 PA++ which no other BB has in the market. It provides medium coverage. It does not feel heavy or greasy on the skin. And there is a catch here now. Beauties don’t forget to moisturize before you apply this. Even though, I have combination skin, this felt little dry on it. And also quickly settles in fine lines.

I found that the best way to use it is to rather mix it in Johnson’s baby milk lotion and then apply it on face. You can use your regular moisturizer too. Also blending should be done carefully or else it will leave some whitish cast (maybe because of the SPF factor). But that does not persist for long. Blending should be quick.

 Swatch ~ Before and After

It also claims of lightening skin tone on regular usage but I doubt that is possible with the topical use of any cosmetic product at least, so no qualms about it really.

PROS:

  • Provides medium coverage
  • Contains SPF 30++
  • Quick daily/ office wear makeup base
  • Evens skin tone
  • Very light and not at all greasy

Cons:

  • Little drying on the skin (suggested to use with moisturizer)
  • Settles into fine lines, so blend properly

Rating: 3.5/5

Final Verdict:

It is good product for one time try. I cannot compare with other blemish balms in the market as I have not used them. After trying this I will surely try the Maybelline and Garnier BB Cream as they are already a hit in the market. If you have a zeal of trying out new products, you may go ahead with this one. Dry skin beauties may skip this altogether.

    1. hey heena.. try using it by the 4 dot principle and top it up with a compact.. i think this shud help the oiliness :)

    1. oily skin ppl have to super cautious as it is with the type of product they use on their face. it suits my combination skin perfectly.. i guess layering with a compact and constant touch ups will check excess oiliness :)
