LipIce Micro Shine Lip Color Hotty Pink Review, Photos, Swatches

Hey everyone :) I’ll be reviewing the LipIce Micro Shine Lip Colour today. So let us see how this lip colour turned out.

Price and Quantity:

Rs 200 for 4.2 g

My Take:

The lip color comes in a white plastic tube with a cap that clicks on. And not very tightly. The packaging is extremely flimsy. I have to use it with care because I feel even the slightest force will break it. Not impressive at all.

The lip color is in a twist up tube like a lipstick. The color is a very bright flamboyant slightly blue based pink. The kind one casually refers to as ‘hot pink’ so the name is justified. That said, it is very highly pigmented. The ‘micro shine’ claim is also true; it has very tiny shimmer particles embedded in the lip color bullet. The shimmer doesn’t really translate onto the lips though.

I have no issues with the texture as such. It isn’t extraordinarily creamy or anything, but it’s easy to apply and glides decently on the lips.

The lip colour is much closer to a lipstick than to a lip balm or lip gloss. Girls who love bright magenta colours on their lips will find this an affordable option and will love that it is super pigmented. The colour is totally build-able. I dab just a bit of it on my lips for a natural look. But three swipes and you have a lovely bright magenta, which instantly brightens up the skin.

PROS:

  • Highly pigmented
  • Decently priced
  • Really lovely fragrance
  • Easy to carry in your purse/bag
  • Colour is buildable
  • Slight shimmer adds to the overall show of the colour
  • Has UV shield
  • Universally flattering shade of pink

CONS:

  • Exact SPF not mentioned
  • Contains parabens
  • Packaging is flimsy

Rating: 4/5

Final word on this Lipice Lip Color: This bright pink lip color is quite close to a lipstick with slight shimmer. I think it’s a good color for night wear; some may find it too loud for the day time.

Buy this if:

  • You’re looking for an affordable lip color, and you like bright fuchsia as a lip color
  • You want a lip color with high pigmentation and a bit of shimmer
  • If you want a softer shade of pink, I think Pouty Pink from this range would be a better option.

(The SA swatched all the shades on my hand and recommended Pouty Pink for me but I chose Hotty Pink because I thought the former won’t show up on my pigmented lips. I think that Pouty Pink is definitely a prettier shade, though it may be less pigmented.)

Hope you all liked the review :)
