Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher Carrot Cheesecake Review

Hey friends,

Today I am going to share with you my experience with my first etude house blusher. Few days back I brought it from eBay. I just love the picture given on eBay and just like that thought to bring it. And it arrived just within 20-25 days of my ordering.

Price:

The price of the blusher is near about Rs.590/- including shipping and tracking. Yes if you want to get tracking number then you have to pay 2 or 3 dollars more depending upon the parcel.

My Take:

The blusher named as ‘Carrot Cheesecake’ and I think it has fulfilled its name as the shade is really carrot shade although now a days carrots are bit red. But I guess that is due to hybrid. But why I am sticking and giggling with the name ‘carrot’, may be because for first time I brought a blusher in the shade name of a vegetable :P

Okay, enough of blah! Blah with the name. Coming to the packaging.. As you can see it comes in a cute round case with upper lid is transparent and printed with the name ‘Etude house’. Whereas the lower one is in the color of the shade itself. I guess it will help you to find out this particular shade from your stash. I know the packaging is so unique that you can easily detect the etude house one.  Secondly the blusher comes with a cute cotton puff with a bow on its above, showing the signature icon of etude i.e. ‘bow’.

Etude house has wide range of shades from nice pink to peach. I brought this blusher just out of my curiosity that how an etude house blusher does is? Is it pigmented?  Or long staying? I saw many mixed reviews of it. So I goggled net and found the etude house and ordered this particular, unique shade. I must say that the blusher created a mix reaction in my mind.

Why? Here are the reasons. The packaging is cute but I wish it is slightly more pigmented. Little less powdery, and have little more staying power. I guess you all might be wondering that I almost end up my review here but wait still more is there. The color of the shade as you can see is little peachy and have shimmer in it. And the saddest thing for me that being such a nice color it fail to show up on my complexion :(  Still I will say that if you overlook the shipping and tracking issue then the blusher is really cheap I think (393 INR).

PROS:

  • Cute packaging.
  • Have variety of shades.
  • Blended easily.
  • Affordable price.

CONS:

  • Pigmentation is not so good.
  • Little powdery.
  • Less staying power (may be I sweat a lot)

Rating: 3/5

My Final Thoughts:

At the end I will not say that it is a ‘must have’  blusher in your kitty and I would love to recommended this particular shade may suit better to medium to dusky skin tone girls or for those who love to show some shimmery tint to their cheek. And if you love to try new kind of blushers then you can try this one.

  1. Aww carrot cheesecake is really a yummy name! I have this blush is grapefruit jelly.

Good review Samannita! The blush looks so cute na? ;;-)

    1. Yes :) Grapefruit jelly is a pink shade.. but I find these blushes not good pigmented-wise and they are powdery.. They look cute but doesn’t show up on Indian skin tones :(

  2. Bows re cute always :) I love the light shimmers in it :)but texture seems very powdery… nice review Samannita :)

  3. You got it for a steal! I keep looking for Etude House on eBay but find nothing I want, and the stuff I want costs a bomb to ship from other websites :( It’s all about the timing, I suppose.
