Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Pinken Review and Swatches

Hello Everyone!

Today, I am going to review one of the Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks. After so many Elle 18 product reviews on MABH, I finally hauled some Elle 18 goodies last week and this lipstick is one of them. Read on to know why I love this lipstick so much!

Price and Quantity:

Rs.100 for 4.3 ml

Shelf Life:

30 Months

Key Ingredient:

Cocoa Butter

My Take:

This lipstick comes in a standard Elle 18 black tube with an animated girl picture printed to it. It has a twisted bottom. I love everything black so I love this lipstick tube too! :) It is very handy and travel friendly.

This Pinken lipstick has a soft muted berry pink shade, a little more pinker than the Maybelline Berry Crush Lip Balm I own. This lipstick is free from those shimmers and glitters and that’s a good thing for me. The texture is buttery smooth! It glides smoothly onto my lips without any hardness and gives that lovely pink flush to my lips in 1-2 swipes. For a more intense color, I need to swipe this lipstick at least 6-7 times. The shade is moderately build-able and has average pigmentation.

If you are looking out for a pink lipstick that covers your lip pigmentation one swipe, this will not be your pick. I am not a crazy-for-lipstick type girl (as of now); I always love those tinted lip balms so I must admit here that I love this Elle 18 Pinken lipstick very very much. It suits my skin tone so well and gives that naturally pink lips! I do not over swipe it; just 2-3 swipes are enough on me. This particular shade will suit all skin types expect those with very dark skin (You can use it too by swiping just once or twice! It is one of the best affordable pink lipsticks available for dusky beauties)

The lipstick is very moisturizing (May be because of the Cocoa butter content?) and it smells extremely lovely too! Ah! The Cocoa fragrance – I am loving it. The lipstick stays on my lips for about 2 hours and fades after that leaving a beautiful pink tint. The tint stays for 2 more hours (Without intake of food) It surely doesn’t survive a meal though. The beauty of this lipstick is that it does not dry out my lips at all, even after fading. For 100 bucks, these Elle 18 lipsticks are super worthy! I am soon going to try out the other shades.

The only problem with these lipsticks (With all Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks) they do break! They break at the bottom and creates a mess because of their creamy soft texture. You must be very gentle while applying too or else they will break. However, my Pinken lipstick is resting inside the refrigerator to avoid this :)

PROS:

  • Cute girly packaging
  • Handy and travel friendly
  • This is a beautiful pink shade for all skin tones!
  • This lipstick gives a natural pink flush to the lips
  • Extremely moisturizing and doesn’t dry out lips
  • The cost is dirt cheap! for the worth and goodness
  • Fragrance is sweet and good
  • These lipsticks are a great hit among school/college girls
  • If you are a lipstick beginner, this pinken shade is for you!
  • Office goes will also find this muted pink shade good on them
  • Easily available everywhere from super markets to online

CONS:

  • They melt and break badly. Fridge please!
  • The pigmentation is not that intense; not for pigmented lips
  • Staying power is less

Rating: 4/5

Do I Recommend?:

I highly recommend Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks to everyone! The shade pinken is a must try for every lipstick lover out there! After all, it cost just 100 bucks. Get one for yourself; I am sure you won’t regret. These lipsticks are so moisturizing and creamy in texture!

Would I Repurchase?:

Of course yes! I will repurchase this shade again and again as it looks so natural on me. Before that, I am soon gonna haul some other shades from this range. Absolute love!
