Hello everyone! :) How are you all?
Today’s focus will be on another product from dove which is called the ‘Split End Rescue Conditioner’. Well, I feel that nothing can ‘’repair’’ split ends, but can only prevent it from coming back! Read on to find out if it actually helped me in any way at all!
Rs. 68 for 75 ml
The conditioner comes in a classy looking plastic tube, which is to be kept upside-down. The tube design helps in taking out the product from the tube with ease. All the information has been written down on the tube itself and the whole list of scary ingredients has been mentioned. It is a sad fact that it contains sodium sulfate and silicones :(
The texture of this hair conditioner is slightly thick in consistency and feels slightly oily. It is white in color. The fragrance is a typical dove one.
Well, it did not help in repairing the split ends, which I had, and thus, I had to get them trimmed. So, the claim of 4X less split ends proved false for me. Nevertheless, it did help in the prevention of split ends to an extent. It makes the hair super soft and silky and you will love to glide that comb down your hair. In addition, those girls with extremely dry scalp should skip this one, as it does not provide heavy moisture to the hair. It does not weigh down the hair, makes it soft and bouncy and hair seems to be in good condition. However, it contain silicones that form a coating on the hair and just give an appearance of soft hair. I am sure that regular use of this conditioner may prove to be harmful in the long run. It does not help in controlling frizz of anything else. All it does is it provides soft and silky hair, which we all love, don’t we? :D
- Makes hair soft and silky
- Perfect conditioner for those with oily scalp
- Makes hair bouncy
- Helps in prevention of split ends to an extent
- False Claims of bringing split ends together
- Contains silicones and sodium Sulfate
- Scary list of chemical ingredients
- Won’t help those with extremely dry hair and scalp
Go get it just for trying it out, if you want! However, neither do I recommend it nor will I repurchase it ever again! I am sure there are a lot of better conditioners that this one, in the market.
