Today I am going to a soap, again a hit product from Nature’s Essence. I have tried their Lacto Tan Clear and it has helped me a lot with tan removal so without a second thought, I gave their soap a try after my exams. (I have been badly tanned due to long drives during my board exams) And here comes my review.
Rs. 55 for 75g
How to Use?:
Apply daily on face and body for Sun Tan Free Skin
Milk, Honey and Geranium Oil
This soap comes in a simple yellow colored outer carton. It looks like someone has baked the condensed milk into a bar. It is a bar shaped soap with an off white milkish color. The fragrance is so mild, refreshing and a bit floral to my senses (at least for me!) It is not at all strong for sensitive noses.
Now comes the working part.. I have finished 2 bars till now and this soaps works quite good on my skin. It helps removing new tan up to a good extent. It lathers well in a creamy manner and washes out quickly without leaving any slippery feel behind. The mattifying claim is true but the moisturizing claim is completely false! It leaves skin fresh and mattified but it does not help with the moisturizing part. However it did not leave my body skin dry as well. I need a light body lotion in summer after bathing with this one, and a bit heavier one in winters.
If you have extremely dry skin, stay away from this soap; it might stretch out your skin. If you are expecting to become fair by using this soap, then this will not be your pick too. It helps removing your epidermal tan when used soon after sun exposure. I apply this over my wet body skin, leave on for 3-5 minutes and wash off; that’s how I use this tan clearing soap and it helps maintain my skin even.
The company mentioned on the pack to use this soap on facial skin too but I am not so sure about it. I don’t like using soaps on facial skin. When I tried this one for facial wash, it did a pretty good job of instantly brightening my skin but it failed with the moisturizing part (Even on my normal to oily skin). My skin felt dry and tight. So it is totally up to you whether to use a soap on your face or not.
Overall, it is a tan clearing good soap for the price and its true tan removing claims.

Yes.. throughout the summer! I have already stocked 2 more soaps :) I need to moisturize my skin well though to compensate the moisture loss caused by cleansing with this fairness bathing bar.
