I’ve used Herbal Essences products since childhood. My dad and aunt used to get me shampoos and conditioners from this brand from abroad. These were not available in India back then. So it’s good to see Herbal Essences in the Indian market today. I never had any bad experience with this brand, be it their shampoos or conditioners. Their packaging has always been impressive. So today, here’s my review on Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner.
Price and Quantity:
Rs. 157 for 300 ml. (I got it for Rs. 144 online)
Best before 3 years from the date of manufacture.
You don’t have to work much to get the straight look. Pour on the lusciousness root to tip with my creamy formula. It revives your hair’s silkiness and shine.
How to Use?:
Massage me in. relax. Rinse me out. Walk straight ahead.
First of all, let me give you a brief description of my hair type. My hair is at waist length and naturally straight. I never feel the need to straighten my hair. The texture of my hair is thick and sometimes very difficult to manage. During summers the scalp turns oily and during winters it turns dry. I also color my hair. I love to experiment with different shades.
Now let’s move on to the review. The hair straightening claim of this conditioner is completely untrue. Do not buy this conditioner thinking that it will straighten your hair. And I don’t think that is possible by just using a shampoo or a conditioner. But wait! Don’t be disappointed. This is the only drawback of the product. Otherwise it is absolutely worth the price and works really well after shampooing.
The reason I picked this product was because I needed a conditioner to use along with my Herbal Essences Colour Me Shiny Shampoo (this one is great for coloured hair, will review it later), but the conditioner of the same variant wasn’t available. So I bought this one instead.
Now regarding the packaging, the conditioner comes in a sturdy inverted, curvy, hot pink coloured plastic bottle having a green coloured press type flip cap. You can easily distinguish between the conditioner and the shampoo (of the same brand) by just looking at the packaging. The conditioner has to be kept standing down on the cap while the shampoo bottle stands on its bottom. I have always loved their packaging.
The conditioner is pink in colour having a thick consistency. It detangles my hair and no knots are left behind. I love the fragrance. My hair is noticeably smooth and soft after using this. The effect lasts for around two days. It is very easy to wash it off. The conditioner does not leave any oily residue on your hair either. A little goes a long way. I don’t have split ends so I cannot say if it helps in preventing them. I did not face any side effects from using this product. No hair fall whatsoever.
This product is a big no for those having dry hair. It is better suited for those with normal hair texture. If you have naturally straight hair then there is no harm in giving this one a try. Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner works very well for me during summer by getting rid of any oily residue or dirt which is left behind after shampooing. I don’t prefer using this one in winter as it can dry out the hair.
