I like trying almost every skin care product. It is just a curiosity how it smells and how it fares. I hardly stick to one particular thing. If it is extremely good for my skin buy that particular product and always keep a back up. And Enliven was one such brand I had never heard of.
Price & Quantity:
Rs.60 for 100 ml; Rs.199 for 400 ml
Packaging: The product comes in a transparent bottle which is absolutely clear. The screw cap is press able from top to open and pour the shower gel out. The front view has images of key ingredients. Actually these images are very tempting and the entire package makes a tempting attempt to pick this shower gel.
Color, Consistency & Fragrance: The shower gel is plain clear like water. It is gel like, but a little runny than the actual gel structure.
And fragrance, this is where it is totally different. I was expecting an amazing coconut fragrance like the ones that come in pure coconut oil. But this smells like old and outdated coconut. And vanilla fragrance; I am not sure of. Only the not-so-fresh smell of coconut is dominating. It vanishes soon enough though.
How it works: A regular quantity of shower gel will work for the whole body. It lathers very little and does not dry out the skin. The instant smell hits the sensing cells as soon as the gel is poured into the palm. The smell goes when you rub the gel against your skin and thin it down into lather.
But, it takes lot of water to rinse from the body. Even after the shower, I feel the soapy texture near the corners of my under arms. And yet again I need some water to rinse it off. Some time when in hurry, using this shower gel is a big problem.
I am not a fan of this shower gel. Well, I have another Enliven product in line for review. It is the shampoo. And, this shampoo is the best one I have come across so far for my dry hair and scalp.
Hmmm…Enliven has some hit and miss products. So, just can not ignore this brand.
