Top 5 Remedies to Reduce Eyebrow Threading Pain

Hello Everyone!

Shaping eyebrows can be done in many ways such as threading, tweezing, waxing etc. One should choose a method that suits their skin type and pain bearing capacity. Today, I am going to write about the steps to cure the pain after ‘threading your eyebrows’. Threading eyebrows may involve pain and trouble at times; mostly in sensitive skin types.

If you have a sensitive skin, threading may end up in rashes, redness and pimples. The following steps, if practiced after threading is done will help a lot in keeping the pain in control. It also helps you to avoid unwanted infections and skin problems caused due to eyebrow threading.

Tips to Reduce Eyebrow Threading Pain:

Cleanse with Cold Water

Soon after the threading process is done, gently swipe cleanse the area around eyebrows with icy cold water and cotton. This will instantly cure the pain up to a great extent as it makes the skin numb. You will feel less or no pain by washing your eyebrows with cold water after eyebrow threading treatment.

Ice Cube Massage

If your pain and irritation still persist even after washing the area with cold water, get an ice cube and smoothly massage the area with it. This ice cube treatment might be needed for very sensitive skin types. I have a very sensitive skin and it turns all read after I finish threading. I always depend on a ice cube if cold water doesn’t seem to control the pain. Make sure not to place the ice cube in the same place for a long time. Just coat the ice cube on both your eye brows.

Cooling Gel

In parlors, beauticians use to apply cooling gels and cold creams over your eyebrows soon after they are done with threading. This is to calm down the irritated skin around the eyebrows. Irritated red skin is more prone to infections and allergies than normal skin. Hence, apply a good branded cooling gel or aloe vera gel over the parts after the ice cube massage. This will calm down your skin and reduce the irritation.

Moisturize

By this time, your pain will be reduced to great levels. The last and must step is moisturization! Yes, the cooling gel is not just enough. For moisturization, use a medicated cream or a cream that is specially formulated for sensitive skin types. Apply a dollop of your moisturizer and leave it on. Do not rub or harshly massage the skin until the irritation and pain heals. One should never rub the skin around the eyebrows after eyebrow threading is done.

Say No to Sun

On the first 2-3 days after shaping your eyebrows, the skin around your eyebrows may happen to burn and itch with the exposure to sunlight. Hence, wear your sunglasses whenever you step out on sun. Exposing the irritated skin to sunlight may make the conditioner even worse.

Hope these tips for reducing pain after eye brow threading are useful! See you in my next post! :D Until then, Stay happy!
