Price:

Rs.200 for 100 ml.

Key Ingredients:

Amla, Kokum Butter, Mulberry Extract, Tamarind

Shelf life:

2 years

My Experience:

I always like to try every skin care products; and happened to chance upon this product with the grace of MABH.

Packaging: The clear plastic bottle with details printed on a white sticker is the package of the body lotion. The cap is steel colored, made of plastic material and is twist able for opening. The wide mouth of the bottle has a stopper. Now, this stopper is not provided with any hole. You will have to pull open the stopper for using the product. This is little nuisance in my opinion.

The lotion is a thick one. And bottle packaging is not suitable for a thick lotion. I will have to pat the bottle in the upside down position for the lotion to come out. A squeeze tube would have been a better way of packaging.

Colour, Consistency & Fragrance: The lotion is pure white and pretty thick for it to be called as a lotion. Because I believe lotions are usually a thin and a little runny which comes out easily from their package. But this Auravedic product is not as thin as a lotion. However it is not as thick as a cream too.

This seems like a perfect Ayurveda product. The smell of the lotion makes it so. The usual fruity or floral smell is not present in this lotion. It smells as though some mixture of leaves from the garden has been grinded together. Not to bother much about the smell, because it however vanishes off soon.

How it works: Moisturizing wise, it is a good product. It gives the skin a good hydration and my skin feels smooth and soft.  But sun blocking job is not done efficiently. One cannot expect much from this sun block lotion when it comes to sun tan or sun burn. The lotion needs to be reapplied if you want more moisturizing to the skin. It sinks in very easily. No greasiness is left behind. But it might not help if the skin is very dry.

Overall it is a good moisturizing skin lotion.

Pros:

  • Travel friendly package.
  • A thick lotion.
  • Good moisturizer for the skin.
  • Natural ingredients

Cons:

  • Not a pleasant smell.
  • Not a user friendly package.
  • Does not help much in preventing from getting tanned.

Rating: 3.5/5

My Recommendation:

Yes, a product that is worth trying at least once. Do no expect a great smell from the lotion though. And not a great sun block lotion too. But definitely a good moisturizer to help get a smooth skin.

Would I repurchase?

I liked this product for only its moisturizing job. I might get another bottle for me when this is emptied.

  1. Interesting product .. must be rich in Vitamin C – amla and Tamarind as ingredients , no doubt it will clear complexion :)

    1. Yup I agree.. I bought a scooty for me and I am all tanned now.. just in 7 days :( None of those sunscreens in the market help! I am definitely gonna get coats and gloves to save my skin. That is the only option I guess.

  2. nice review….i use neutrogena’s sunblock..i would have loved to give this a try if it was effective because its quite affordable
