A warning ladies (and gents, if there are any reading). Do not get misleaded by the word serum. This product is NOT a serum. The more apt word would be hair tonic. Another word of caution -  if you are expecting any miraculous hair growth, I am not promising anything guys. Everything takes patience and I think this is one such product.

Mountain Ebony is a precious, magnificently flowering, hardwood tree that is prized for its stimulating and healing properties.This is an intensive serum is blended with pure extracts of mountain ebony, long pepper, glycyrrhizin and the euphorbia tree, to promote new and healthy hair growth. Bio Ebony – Biotique Mountain Ebony stimulates hair, from root to tip, and leaves scalp feeling toned, exhilarated, free from dryness and irritation.

Usage Directions:

Apply a small amount to dry scalp. Massage in gently with circular motions. Leave on and style as desired.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Mountain Ebony Fresh Growth Stimulating Serum:

Packaging: It is the usual Biotique packaging. A plastic bottle with a green screw cap. It is transparent, so it’s easy to see how much of the product is left in the bottle.

Color, Consistency & Fragrance: If you looked at the colour, you would not feel like putting it anywhere near your body. It is brown and exactly like water. The smell is all herbal but not offensive. It actually smells nice.

How it works: Since the serum is totally watery, it is confusing as to how to apply it. I generally apply it directly to my scalp and then massage my scalp. If you take it in your hand, the liquid just runs. So, the best way is to directly put it on your scalp and immediately massage it else there is a chance of it dripping all over your face.

My scalp is dry and sensitive. It is extremely prone to itching and flaking even though my dandruff has practically vanished. The days I apply it to my scalp, it feels soothing. It calms down irritated scalp. Well, to come to the most important part of the product. The ‘hair growth’ part. I cannot assure you that it actually regenerates new hair. I really don’t know whether I have new hair growing. But atleast it hasn’t caused any hair fall.

Apply this to your scalp alone and not your hair. I apply this in the night almost daily. You don’t have to worry about it soiling your pillows or any of that sort. It gets absorbed quickly and is non greasy.
