I am here with a face wash review again :) It’s going to be the Lacto Calamine one which I purchased long back. Oops! I didn’t purchase it, got free for Lacto Calamine Classic Moisturizer of 34 Rs. Previously I reviewed the Lacto Calamine Classic Moisturizer and this is the first time I am reviewing face wash from this range. The main thing in the pack’s front side is that this face wash is for “Normal to Oily Skins” and is made of Vitamin E and Raspberry extracts. There is another variant in this face wash range called Moisturizing face wash which is specially formulated for Dry to normal skin. I’ll review it some other day and now let’s move on to the review of Raspberry face wash now.

My View About this Face Wash with Ratings
The Packaging
It comes in a see through pack which is very colorful and cute. As this is a see through type tube, it is easier to find how much is left in the tube.The cap of 30 ml pack is normal screw typed as you see in the pic, the 50 ml one comes with a flip flop cap. Both are sturdy, easy to use and thus the packaging is travel friendly. No leaking and the squeeze is in control so that we can take required quantity without any trouble.

Consistency, Colour and Fragrance
This face wash is gel based and of the color of yummy raspberries (You can clarify in the pic). It’s not too thick, a little thinner than normal consistency. The fragrance was heavy and still I liked it very much as it was yummy to smell. Fragrance has become both pro and con of this product as some will love this fragrance and sensitive noses may not like it.
Rating: 4/5 (-1 for the heavy fragrance, it would be better if it is light)
My Experience of Usage and Its Results:
The very first time I opened the pack, I felt the fragrance was too heavy, but I loved it a lot as it smells like a yummy raspberry. To say about lathering, it lathers very well with even small quantity, hence a small squeeze is enough for every wash. The lather is very smooth and creamy. The face wash leaves a slippery feel with less water hence I need lots and lots of water to rinse it off, this might be disgusting for few people. As the face wash is formulated for oily to normal skins, it has no moisturizing effect at all. It will suit oily skins well in all the seasons and normal skins in summers, not sure about it though. Dry skins stay away from this face wash or else your skin will be striped of moisture. Other than these things, this face wash helped me to cleanse my skin well and get rid of tiny pores with regular usage. A moisturizer is strongly recommended after every use.

PROS
- Price. It’s very affordable for the quantity
- Lathers good, cleanses away dirt, oiliness and impurities well.
- Best for usage in oily skins.
- Did not break me out and no other side effects. Hence, Safer to use.
- As it lathers well,very little quantity is enough for every wash hence it lasts longer.
- The fragrance is very yummy and surely will be a treat for those who loves heavy fruit smell.
- Controls excess oil secretion for long hours in oily skins.
CONS
- Again the same Fragrance, it might be a plus for people who loves it but sensitive noses should stay away because I feel that the fragrance is too heavy.
- Strips of moisture, thus dry skins feel tight. This face wash is not for dry skins in any season.
- Lots of water needed to rinse off completely or else leaves a slippery feel behind.
My Recommendation:
- Oily skins, Get it for sure. It leaves your skin squeaky clean without oiliness.
- Normal skins, this might or might not suit you, try with a light moisturizer.
- Dry Skins and Sensitive noses stay away!
Overall Rating of the Product: 3.5/5
Will I repurchase again?: Sure, but not sure about winters. This yummy smelling face wash will be in my shopping list on summers.
