Long Lasting Nail Polish Tips

Nail polish is one of the cosmetics which most of the women would love to wear in their finger and toe nails to enhance the nail’s beauty. Due to many environmental and climatic changes our nails get chipped and thus the nail polish we wear gets clumsy and cracked easily. To prevent this and to apply nail polish in a perfect manner to make it long lasting, we need to follow few simple tips :) They are really simple and useful to paint your nails beautifully! Follow the below tips to be a nail beauty among your friends!

Cleanse your nails
It is very important to cleanse your nails and prepare them before they get polished well. Cleansing removes dirt and bacterias to give a lovely finish of your nail polish every time you apply it. Soak your nails in soap water and wash them well. Towel dry them gently and push your cuticles with a help of your cuticle pusher. After cleansing, it is strongly recommended to file your nails and shape them properly for a beautiful look.

Moisturize
Moisturizing your nails makes it healthy preventing it from dryness, so that your nail polish can last long without any cracks. Use any good nail nourishing cream or you can even use essential oils like olive oil, Castor oil and even petroleum jellies like Vaseline. Apply them on your nails and massage your nails gently with your fingertips.
Washing after moisturizing (Important step)
Hey hey..!! Listen.. It’s not just enough and it’s not really fair if you polish your nails soon after moisturizing. We just do it to keep our nails nourished and to prevent chipping. If the moisturizing oils are left in your nails, then your nail polish cannot be applied in a well manner as your nail enamel cannot absorb it for a healthy and beautiful looking nail coat. So, with a help of your nail brush and soap, wash your nails once again after moisturizing, to remove all the oils from your nails. This is an essential step to get your nails polished beautifully. You can also buffer your nails with the use of a nail buffer after this process to add extra shine.

Two base coats (Thinner is better)
Keep in mind, you should never hurry while polishing your nails as it may spoil the whole thing. Thinner coats are better and they look beautiful, so check your polish whether it is expired are not. Expired nail polishes are thick and clumsy which cannot give out a great shade. Newer and thinner nail polishes are best and hence store your nail polishes on refrigerator to prevent them from drying and getting thick in summers.
After washing your nails, dry them and apply the first base coat. Allow it to dry completely and wait for 20 minutes to apply the second base coat. If you rush and apply the second coat soon, then the polish will not be long lasting. After the first base coat dries, apply the second one. Wait for some more minutes and allow it to dry.

The Final Coat
The final coat should be applied after you applied these two thinner base coats. Apply the final coat without any bubbles, making sure that your polish is even and smooth. After applying the final coat, you can use a nail dryer or even you can air dry them as usual. That’s all! The perfect polishing is done!

NOTE : Wear gloves while working with water, so that the nail polish will be long lasting and also it would not get faded.
